A desk that is only a desk is a luxury that the guest doesn’t pay for — but a desk that converts into a dining table, has hidden storage, and folds against the wall, that does justify $20,000 more per night.
This pack includes 5 furniture pieces designed under the principle of multifunctionality as space economy:
- Wall-mounted folding desk-table: Folds to 8cm depth. Supports 40kg when open. Includes hidden hinge mechanism.
- Sofa-bed with under-storage: Guadua bamboo + MDF frame. The mattress lifts with gas pistons to access 200L of storage.
- Modular shelving with integrated desk: 6 reconfigurable modules. The desk slides on rails and tucks inside the shelving.
- Entryway chest-bench: Seat with storage for luggage. Includes removable internal organizer.
- Lift-top coffee table-dining table: From 45cm to 75cm in height with scissor mechanism. Expandable surface from 80cm to 120cm.
Each piece includes CAD files (.DXF and .STEP) ready for CNC cutting, optimized cutting list (nesting) for 1.83m × 2.44m sheets, and an assembly guide with step-by-step photos.
- 5 sets of construction drawings in PDF (12–18 pages each) with dimensions in millimeters
- CAD files (.DXF + .STEP) for each piece, ready to import into CNC or router
- Cutting lists with optimized nesting: layout of parts on 1.83m × 2.44m sheets with < 12% waste
- Complete BOM per piece: hardware, screws, gas pistons, rails, hinges, edgebanding — with exact quantities and reference links
- Illustrated assembly guide (PDF, 45 pages total): step-by-step photos of each furniture piece
- "rate impact" table: estimated increase in nightly price according to each piece (based on Airbnb comparables in Colombia)
- Airbnb listing template: how to photograph and describe each piece to maximize perceived value
- Evaluate your space: Measure the available area for each piece. The plans include minimum operating dimensions (e.g.: the folding desk needs 120cm of free wall).
- Choose the manufacturing order: The guide recommends starting with the entryway chest-bench (simplest, 6 hours) and finishing with the sofa-bed (most complex, 16 hours).
- Send the files for CNC cutting: Take the .DXF files to your trusted CNC workshop. If you don’t have CNC access, the guide includes a manual cutting version with a table saw.
- Verify the nesting: The cutting list is optimized for standard sheets. If your material is different (e.g.: 15mm plywood instead of 18mm), adjust the offsets in the CAD.
- Assemble following the guide: Each piece has its section with numbered photos. The critical points (hinges, pistons, rails) are shown in detail.
- Photograph for Airbnb: The last section of the guide explains how to photograph each piece in its 2–3 configurations for the listing.
