Recommendations and Steps for Manufacturing
Follow this recommended workflow to achieve the best finish on your modular furniture:
1. Preparation and Cutting
- Print the cutting guide and take it to your trusted supplier to pre-cut the main pieces if you do not have a professional table saw.
- If using a CNC router, import the
.DXFfile applying a tool offset of 3mm according to the chosen cutting bit.
2. Assembly Drilling
- Mark and make the hidden drill holes using a pocket template (Kreg Jig or similar) 2 inches from the edges.
- Use high-strength wood glue (Titebond II or similar) before adjusting the screws.
3. Finishes and Sanding
- Sand all surfaces using progressive grits: #120 for imperfections, #180 for smoothing, and #240 before applying the sealant.
- It is recommended to apply at least 3 coats of catalyzed lacquer or water-based polyurethane to protect the work surfaces.
