Recommendations and Steps for Fabrication
Follow this recommended workflow to obtain the best finish on your modular furniture:
1. Preparation and Cutting
- Print the cut list guide and take it to your trusted distributor to pre-cut the main pieces if you don't have a professional table saw.
- If you use a CNC router, import the
.DXFfile applying a 3mm tool offset according to the chosen cutting bit.
2. Assembly Holes
- Mark and make the hidden holes using a pocket hole jig (Kreg Jig or similar) 2 inches from the edges.
- Use high-strength wood glue (Titebond II or similar) before performing the screw fit.
3. Finishes and Sanding
- Sand all faces using progressive grits: #120 for imperfections, #180 to smooth, and #240 prior to applying the sealer.
- It is recommended to apply at least 3 coats of catalyzed lacquer or water-based polyurethane to protect work surfaces.
